Dozens of Christian pilgrims headed to the Baptism Site of Jesus Christ by the Jordan River to participate in Christian pilgrimage on Friday, January 10.

Nearly 4,000 Christian pilgrims will commemorate the Christian pilgrimage day at Church of the Baptism of Christ.

The Epiphany is "an ancient Christian feast day and is significant in a number of ways. In the East, where it originated, the Epiphany celebrates the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist in the River Jordan. It also celebrates Jesus' birth."
