A man and a woman were killed after becoming trapped in a flooded elevator during heavy storms that hit areas of Jaffa and Tel Aviv, Arab 48 news reported.

It was reported that the 35-year-old man died immediately, while the 30-year-old woman was extracted from the elevator by firefighters and was later reported as dead.

Five others were evacuated after being trapped by rainwater and floods.
