Medical sources revealed that the Ministry of Health provided private hospitals with free treatment for H1N1 "Swine Flu".

Head of the Private Hospitals Association, Dr. Fawzi Al-Hamouri said that the Health Ministry has provided private hospitals with "Fluvir", an antiviral medicine used to treat and prevent influenza (flu) as well as, Swine Flu.

Hammouri added that the medication will be provided for free and must be dispensed by a doctor and according to the instructions of the Ministry.

He mentioned that when the medication runs out, the Ministry will immediately provide further quantities of it.

Several people who have the flu have been provided with the medication for free, Hammouri stated.

For its part, the company that produces the medication for H1N1 confirmed that it works on meeting the high demand on the drug, as it is the only company that produces this medication in the Kingdom.
