Members of the Queen Alia International Airport's (QAIA) customs center foiled an attempt to smuggle around 404 mobile phones, found in a bag of a passenger, according to a statement issued by the Jordan Customs.

The statement indicated that the devices were seized until customs fines of JD 89,000 are paid.

The Jordan Customs and within its strategy to limit illegal commercial activities have developed a plan for building customs institutional capacities through qualifying human resources and using the best scientific methods to combat such activities.
