An earthquake of 3.4 magnitude has hit the Red Sea on the dawn of Sunday, December 22, 2019.

According to a statement issued by the Saudi Geological Survey, the quake was recorded at 1:49 am.

It occurred 65km southwest of Muhayil Asir, Saudi Arabia at a depth of 15km.
