The Ministry of Environment cadres seized on Sunday, December 15, 2019, 130 kg of black plastic bags that violate the provisions of biodegradable plastic shopping bags regulation No. 45 of 2017.

This came during an inspection campaign carried out by the Ministry in cooperation and coordination with the concerned authorities on factories and shops that produce, trade and import plastic shopping bags in various governorates.

The inspection campaigns are based on official directives to enforce the biodegradable plastic shopping bags regulation No. 45 of 2017 in order to protect the environment from pollution.
