During a parliament session held today, MPs approved on the Public Prosecution’s request to refer former Minister of Public Works and Housing, Sami Halaseh to the judiciary on corruption cases brought against him.

The majority of the MPs approved on the decision, while the former minister had earlier issued a statement, calling for the parliament to approve on the decision, confirming that he believes in the fair Jordanian judiciary.

Head of the legal committee, MP Abd Al Monem Odat said that the violations reported by the prosecution against Halaseh should be investigated.
