Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, will lead Jordan's delegation at the 18th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement, which will be hosted by the Azerbaijani capital, Baku on October 25 and October 26.

This year's summit, entitled "Adherence to the Bandung Principles to Ensure a Coordinated Response to the Challenges of the Contemporary World," will adopt three documents, namely the Final Declaration, the Baku Declaration and a Declaration on Palestine.

Jordan is a founding member of the movement whose principles were inspired by the Bandung Conference in 1955, where Jordan was among the 29 participating countries that formulated the general principles of the movement.

Around 120 member states, 17 observer states and 10 regional and international observer organizations are participating in the movement, making the summit an important international forum.
