Man sentenced to four months in prison for firing random shots in Zarqa

The Zarqa Criminal Magistrate Court has decided on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, to imprison a man for four months after he had fired random gunshots in Zarqa governorate

The man, who is in his thirties, had fired gunshots at the wall of a person's house, which had caused damage to the wall, according to a complaint filed against him.

The defendant was charged with possessing an unlicensed firearm and firing random gunshots based on which, he must be put in prison for three months; however, he had received the most severe misdemeanor penalty which is four months imprisonment.

Fees will also be imposed on the charged and the firearm that was in his possession will be confiscated.
