Crown Prince attends enthronement ceremony of Emperor Naruhito of Japan

Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II, His Royal Highness Crown Prince al Hussein has participated in a ceremony during which Japan's Emperor Naruhito proclaimed his enthronement today at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported. 

The Crown Prince conveyed the greetings King Abdullah to Emperor Naruhito, wishing him good health and happiness, and the friendly people of Japan further progress and prosperity.

The ceremony's rituals were attended by dignitaries from a number of countries and regions.

His Highness later met with the Japanese Defense Minister Taro Kono, where they discussed strategic partnership relations and cooperation between Jordan and Japan and means of enhancing them, especially in defense fields.

The Crown Prince said he appreciates Japan's continuous support to Jordan to carry out many development projects, as well as its endeavors to bring about peace and stability in the Middle East.
