Around 500 Jewish extremist settlers have stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque/ Haram Al Sharif compound on Thursday, October 17, 2019, in occupied Jerusalem to celebrate the so-called Jewish holiday "Sukkot", translated as "Festival of Tabernacles," according to a Palestinian source.

The General Director of the Islamic Awqaf and Al-Aqsa Affairs, Azzam Al-Khatib, said that today's raid by the radical settlers was carried out from Al- Magharebah Gate in groups under heavy protection of Israeli special police and forces.

The settlers performed their "Talmudic religious ceremonies" in the compound, while Israeli soldiers imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into Al-Aqsa, Al-Khatib added.
