Israeli authorities approved on Monday, October 14, 2019, on building 251 new settlement units and seizing dozens of dunums of land in the West Bank city of Bethlehem, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported.

This came after the recommendations of the so-called "Planning and Building Council" and "the Council of Ezion settlements" of which 146 units will be built in the "Gush Ezion" settlement, south of Bethlehem, and 105 units in the "Kfar Eldad" settlement.

Israeli occupation authorities have also seized large areas of lands in the town of Nahalin, west of Bethlehem, in order to expand the settlement of "Alon Shvut".

The Israeli newspaper pointed out that the decision to seize dozens of dunums of land from the natural basin No. 4 of the town was for the purpose of building new units within the settlement.
