As autumn is here, the Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) has issued a statement on Monday, October 7, 2019, warning people of possible flash floods during this season.

In the statement, people living in lowlands, the Badia, in addition to those living in tents, were urged to move to high areas for fear of flash floods, which may cause damage to property and may kill people.

Jordan may witness several weather depressions during autumn, which may result in rain-caused floods especially in the lowlands, the CDD confirmed in a statement.

The CCD has made necessary preventive plans and procedures in place by making the CDD cadres always ready and the CDD machinery and special equipment available all the time.

As part of the plans, the main and sub-operating rooms at the CDD will be ready round the clock to prevent any human losses during this season.
