A young man has killed his stepmother and then physically attacked his father in the Central Badia area this morning, spokesman for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said.

According to a report received by the PSD, the man killed his stepmother using a sharp instrument and fled the scene immediately.

The deceased and the injured were referred to a nearby hospital and an investigation into the murder was launched.
