Three people have died on Thursday, September 26, 2019, after a fire broke out inside a grocery store on Al-Omari road near Alazraq, the Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) said in a statement.

The three people died immediately as they inhaled gases and sustained burns, the statement indicated.

The Zarqa rescue and ambulance teams evacuated the deceased, said the CDD, adding that its cadres managed to extinguish the fire and refer the deceased to Alazraq Medical Centre.

An investigation will be launched to find out the causes of the fire.
