The Jordanian Embassy in Washington, DC, has warned Jordanians living in areas that may be affected by Hurricane Dorian.

"We urge Jordanians in the areas affected by #HurricaneDorian in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina to monitor local media for updates. For emergencies please call the embassy hotline at 202-294-9522 or Ministry of Foreign Affairs Operations Center at +96265735166," the Embassy tweeted.

The Hurricane has so far killed 30 people in the Bahamas, but officials have warned that will rise as recovery efforts continue, CNN reported.

Dorian is still a Category 1 storm with maximum sustained winds of 90 mph, according to the 11 a.m. ET advisory from the National Hurricane Center.

The hurricane is currently about 50 miles northeast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, where it made landfall earlier today. It's 460 miles away from Nantucket, Massachusetts.
