The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) has spent around JD 7,450,000 in 2019 on paving works in an area estimated at 1, 490,000 square meters, according to the Director of the Department of Road Maintenance, Eng, Walid Amoush.

Amoush pointed out that the paving works will be carried out in areas, where the works are annually done, in addition to main streets and detours, which are part of GAM's projects.

Paving works shall be carried out through tenders executed by contractors, GAM's workshops and preventive maintenance centers.

Amoush said that preventive maintenance works had cost JD 6, 726,000 in an area of 517, 386 square meters.

Around JD 545,000 were spent on expansion works, Amoush added.
