In cooperation with the Tafila Police Directorate, cadres of the Health Department in Basira area have seized three tons of rotten dairy, cheese, and juice, meant to be sold in markets, in a medium-sized cargo truck of a dairy factory, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported.
The mayor of Basira, Saleh Al-Saudi said that the rotten products were seized during an inspection tour, where a bad smell emanated from them.
Saudi stressed that the safety of citizens' food is a "red line," adding that the strongest measures will be taken against those who violate the general health and safety conditions.
