A group of extremist Jewish settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported.

The General Director of the Islamic Awqaf and Al-Aqsa Affairs, Azzam Al-Khatib said that the raid was carried out by more than 56 extremists, who entered Al-Magharibia Gate under heavy protection of Israeli police and army forces that closed down the Gate at around 11 am.

Settlers toured Al-Aqsa and performed Talmudic religious ceremonies there.
