Some 126 of Jewish extremist settlers and 40 employees of the Israeli government stormed on Early Sunday, August 4, 2019, Al-Aqsa Mosque / Haram Al Sharif compound in occupied Jerusalem, a Palestinian source confirmed.

"Under heavy protection of Israeli police, groups of Jewish intruders forced their way into the Muslim's holy shrine from Al- Magharebah Gate," the General Director of the Islamic Awqaf and Al-Aqsa Affairs, Sheikh Azzam Al-Khatib said.

The Jewish intruders toured the Al-Aqsa yards in a provocative manner, Al-Khatib added.

The holy mosque is subject to daily violations and break-ins by Jewish settlers, the Palestinian official added.
