In a post on its Facebook official page, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) warned citizens of spending a lot of time under the sun and of direct sun exposure as a hot air mass is expected to peak today.
JMD has also warned of high temperatures especially in the afternoon, as temperatures are expected to be about five degrees above their annual average.
The weather today will be extremely hot and dry in most parts of the Kingdom, where temperatures will be swinging between 37-25 degrees in Amman, 36-24 degrees in the northern regions of the Kingdom, 34-24 in the southern regions and 44-31 degrees in Aqaba.
