A man of an Arab nationality was stabbed to death near the 7th Circle area in Amman, spokesman for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said in a statement.
Family of the victim had earlier reported about the disappearance of their son after he entered the Kingdom on Monday, July 22, 2019.
A special investigation team was immediately formed to follow up on the Arab national's disappearance.
Following the investigation and the gathering of information, a girl and a man were suspected of committing the crime, where personnel of the PSD managed to arrest the girl, while the other suspect was found to have left the country.
The girl admitted that the other suspect had stabbed the victim to death following previous disputes between him and the victim and that she was involved in the crime.
Following further investigation, it was found that the other suspect had entered the country again and the PSD personnel were able to arrest him, where he admitted to stabbing the victim to death on purpose following disputes, after which he transferred the body to an empty area in Madaba governorate.
The body was referred to the forensics after the attorney general's approval was taken and the case will be referred to the public prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court, the PSD statement added.
