A Royal Decree was issued Wednesday appointing Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti as new Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordan Armed Forces/ Arab Army (JAF) succeeding Lit. Gen. Mahmoud Friehat.

The appointment is effective as of today July 24th, 2019.
