Overnight tourists to Jordan expected to increase by 10% this year

Jordan is expected to register a 10% increase in the number of overnight foreign tourists during this year.

Abed Al Razzaq Arabiyat, Managing Director of the Jordan Tourism Board explained in a press statement on Sunday, July 21, 2019, that planning for new routes of regular flights to the Kingdom with the support of the Board will increase the number of overnight tourists significantly, where over five million visitors are expected to enter the Kingdom.

Arabiyat added that the number of tourist groups is expected to witness an increase of 20% - 25% this year, especially those groups coming from the U.S. and Europe.

He pointed out that this year's promotional plans focus on three traditional markets, namely Brazil, Japan, and China, confirming that plans will cover religious tourism.

Bloggers and influencers from all around the world will also be invited to visit the various tourist sites in Jordan to promote them through their personal accounts on social media platforms.
