Minister of State for the Development of Institutional Performance, Yasera Ghosheh said that the government had implemented about 75% of its commitments for the second quarter of 2019, where about 148 cases have been referred to the judiciary during the second quarter of this year, compared to 128 cases in 2018.

This came during a press conference held at the Prime Ministry's building with the attendance of the Minister of State for Media Affairs and the government Spokesperson Jumana Ghuneimat and Minister Yasera Ghosheh, to announce the results of the second quarter report on government priorities for the years 2019 and 2010.

Ghosheh pointed out that during this period, about JD 33 million had been recovered after being spent unfairly.

She stated that among the government's priorities was to provide 30,000 job opportunities. However, about 18,000 jobs have been provided to people during the second quarter of this year.

On health care, Ghosheh said the government had made a bid to buy services from the private sector for heart disease patients who have health insurance.

Regarding the public transportation sector, the first phase of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), known as "Amman Bus" was launched in last June.

Ghosheh revealed that the government will apply the second phase of the BRT in Jerash and Irbid during next August.

"The government had been slow to develop the municipal and decentralization law, while the local administration law is currently under development," Ghosheh said.

She added that the several jurisprudential opinions and the various parties whose opinion should be taken up to reach an integrated version of the law was the reason for the delay in the amendment and development of the Zakat Law.
