The Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced that 83 people and 106 different firearms were arrested and seized during the third week of its campaign against gunfire and the possession of unlicensed firearms, carried out by various police units, noting that there were four juveniles and two men of an Arab nationality among the arrested.

PSD confirmed that the security campaign will continue in the same manner and in accordance with regulatory, operational and investigative procedures to ensure the follow-up on all reports and information about gunfire acts and those who possess unlicensed firearms, in order to arrest them, confiscate their weapons and take legal and administrative measures against them.

The outcome of the campaign, since it started on June 27, 2019, was 213 people, with 247 different firearms.

PSD renews its calls for all citizens to renounce this phenomenon, and thanks them for their cooperation in reporting any information about it to the Command and Control Center, 911.
