A doctor was injured after he was badly beaten up on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, by two people who are already wanted on charges, spokesman for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said.

The spokesman added in a statement that the doctor, who works at Prince Hamza Hospital in Amman, was referred to a hospital for treatment.

Security forces were able to arrest the attackers, where one of them was transferred to the prosecutor while the other was referred to hospital.

The prosecutor decided to detain the first attacker for seven days at a correctional and rehabilitation center on a charge of abuse, while the other aggressor will be also referred to the prosecutor once he leaves the hospital.
