On Tuesday, June 25, 2019, a number of Ph.D. holders staged a protest in front of Mutah University, rejecting what they described as violations of their rights and denouncing the university's policy in the recent appointments, which were carried out without an open or official announcement.
Protestors called for the suspension of a recent amendment through which many university administrators were appointed as professors, which brings injustice to them.
They told Roya that they will continue organizing protests until their demands are met.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the protesters is Dr. Falah Al Arini. said that unemployed Ph.D. holders will continue protesting even if they were forced to stage an open-ended sit-in.
