The Iraqi security media cell said that five large trucks coming from Jordan that were loaded with expired medicines were seized on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.

"A force from Baghdad's National Security Service was able, based on accurate intelligence, to seize five large trucks coming from Jordan, loaded with expired medicines with false documents," the cell said in a post on its Facebook official page.

The post added that "Iraqi authorities have detained the trucks and a joint committee in cooperation with the Ministry of Health has been formed for the purpose of destroying the expired medicines. In addition, the truck drivers have been arrested in accordance with legal notes."
