The State Security Court (SSC) approved on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, to release suspect of the "tobacco case," former Minister of Water and Irrigation, Munir Owais, on bail amounting to JD 100,000.

Head of the SSC, Colonel Dr. Mohammed Al-Afif said that the defense attorney for the accused had earlier submitted a release application and accordingly, the court approved to release Owais on bail because he is old and because of his health condition.
