Cadres of the Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) are currently dealing with a major fire that broke out in Thaghret Asfour area on Amman-Irbid highway.

According to a statement issued by the CDD, the competent cadres are working on putting out the fire and preventing it from spreading to nearby areas with the support of several government institutions.

The statement added that the area is rugged and full of forest trees so that a plane was requested to help extinguish the fire.
