An Egyptian expatriate died on Thursday, May 23, 2019, of a venomous snake bite during his visit to a relative farm in Ghor Al-Safi area in Karak governorate in southern Jordan.

A medical source said the 22-year-old Egyptian was surprised by a venomous snake biting his foot.

The expatriate was referred to the hospital but arrived dead.

The source said the public prosecutor ordered to refer the body to the National Center for Forensic where it was found that the venomous snake bite led to severe hemorrhage, which caused his death.
