The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) decided on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, to stop all binmen in the country from working at noon hours during the heatwave that is expected to affect the Kingdom as of Wednesday, May 22, 2019.

Deputy Director of Amman city responsible for matters concerning Amman’s areas and environment, Basem Tarawneh said that the Directorate of areas has provided binmen with sun protection hats.

Tarawneh stressed that binmen must wear the hats with their work uniform, calling on them to work hard in the morning.
