Minister of Interior Salameh Hammad visited on Sunday, May 19, 2019, doctor Rawan Sami, who is currently receiving treatment at Prince Hamza Hospital, to check on her health condition after she was physically abused by a citizen on Thursday, May 16, 2019.

"You are like my daughter. You have my phone number. If you want any help, just call me," Hammad told Doctor Rawan.

"You are a role model of the Jordanian girl, who provides humanitarian service to people. You have nothing to do with what happened to you," Hammad said.

Hammad stressed that the aggressor will be punished and the punishment procedures will be in accordance with the law, pointing out that no one will be allowed to override its provisions.

For his part, Deputy Minister of Health, Walid Maani noted to the Ministry's duty to protect its employees and said that the Cabinet is planning to take new measures in this regard.
