A tanker driver has died on Friday, May 17, 2019, after the tanker collapsed with a concrete barrier, causing the tanker to overturn and burn near Al-Ansari gas station in Ma'an Governorate.

On the Desert Highway, a trailer driver has also died after the trailer turned over near Al Ameriyah area towards Amman.

Cadres of the Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) were able to put out the fire of the tanker in the Ma'an accident and have evacuated the two bodies to a nearby hospital.

Two traffic investigation committees have been formed to find out the causes of the accidents.
