Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Economy and Investment, Member of Parliament, Khairi Abu Sailek, revealed on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, a scandal, indicating that some companies and drug stores sell specific types of medicine through the "bonus" system.
Abu Sailek explained that these medicines are sold in specific offers to pharmacists as they buy 100 packages and get 200 additional free packages.
"The medicines sold through the "bonus" system are used for joints, infections, coughs, fever and headaches," he added.
Abu Sailek stated that the companies also sell 100 packs of another type of medicine and offer pharmacists 55 free packs of the same medicine.
He said that the price of each pack is JDs 6, which means that the cost of buying the package after obtaining the bonus will not exceed JD 1, which in turn doubles the pharmacists' profits at the expense of the pocket of the Jordanian citizen.
Abu Sailek did not mention the names of the companies, which sell medicines through the "bonus" system, but stressed that this is definitely unfair and so wired.
