Citizens residing in the vicinity of Islamabad street in Irbid governorate complained on Monday, May 13, 2019, of excavation works carried out by the Irbid Municipality.

Since January 2019, Irbid Municipality has started a project to set up a rainwater drainage system at citizens' requests, which turned out to be a threat to their safety.

Citizens stated that there are no hazard sign boards and safety signage, adding that the Municipality did not adopt any public safety measures in the area.

Others complained that the Municipality has not completed any part of the project, which has disrupted their daily life.

Some citizens also said that they had to refer their children to the hospital due to the dust caused by these excavation works.
