In response to a question about whether it is permissible for a woman to wear colored contact lenses, the General Iftaa’ Department has issued a Fatwa showing that wearing lenses for treatment is permissible, and wearing them as an adornment is also permissible, provided that a woman is not seen while having them on by non-Mahrams (marriageable men).
