The Jordanian government announced on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, that it will keep the current prices of fuel derivatives for May despite an uptick in crude oil prices in international markets during April.

The government's decision to maintain fuel prices unchanged aims at helping people during the Holy month of Ramadan, the Fuel Pricing Committee said during a meeting held at the Energy & Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC).

The price of 90-octane gasoline in May will remain unchanged from the JD 0.750 per litre of the previous month. The price of 95-octane gasoline in May will be JD 1.000 per litre. The price of Kerosene in May will be JD 0.560 per litre. The cost of home-cooking gas cylinder will be JD 7.
