About 91 corruption cases have been referred to the Public Prosecutor during the first quarter of 2019, a government source said on Monday, April 29, 2019. 

The source said that JD 31 million have been recovered from new corruption cases, adding that the amount of money collected from tax evasion by the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC) had risen from JD 13 million to JD 21 million.

The total value of the public sector’s salaries amounted to JD 480 million, according to the source. 

The sources also stated that the fake medical exemptions case was referred to the judiciary.
