His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, a telephone call from the New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, during which he reviewed relations between the two brotherly countries and means of enhancing joint cooperation.

During the call, His Majesty and Prime Minister Ardern stressed the importance of maintaining coordination between the two countries to continue to address the threat of terrorism, extremism and hate speech and to work together to promote the values of coexistence and harmony among different religions.

Prime Minister Ardern praised the great efforts of His Majesty to achieve peace and promote harmony and dialogue among different religions in the region and the world.

His Majesty praised the position of Prime Minister Ardern in dealing with the repercussions of the terrorist attack on two mosques in Christchurch last March, which left 50 people dead and several injured.
