Four cruise ships to dock in Aqaba on Thursday

Four cruise ships are expected to arrive in Aqaba on Thursday, April 25, 2019, carrying about 12,000 foreign tourists of different nationalities.

The Director General of the Aqaba Company for Ports Operation & Management, Mansour Qouqazeh said in a press statement on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, that the four ships will reach Aqaba at dawn on Thursday, and will be transporting tourists to various Jordanian tourist sites, notably Petra, Wadi Rum and Aqaba.

Qouqazeh pointed out that the number of tourists on board will reach to more than 12,000 tourists.

Qouqazeh added that three ships will dock in the old port of Aqaba and the fourth will dock in the new port on Aqaba's southern shore, stressing that the proportion of tourists increased by 10% during the first quarter of 2019 when compared to the same period last year.
