A Russian tourist suffered from serious injuries after falling into the mountains near the Tala Bay area in Aqaba governorate, south of Jordan.

The Russian tourist fell after a rope was cut off as she was practicing parachuting on Saturday, March 30, 2019, according to a security source.

Members of the Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) in Aqaba rushed to the scene, administered first aid to the injured and referred her to Prince Hashem Military Hospital.

The source added that her health condition was moderate.
