Syria has called on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, for an emergency meeting of the United Nation Security Council (UNSC) after the United States (US) officially recognized the Israeli sovereignty over the occupied Golan Heights, according to diplomatic sources.

Presidency of the Security Council headed by France will be setting a date for the meeting.
