The Kuwait Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced on Thursday, March 14, 2019, that the 16-year-old Jordanian girl, who has deliberately escaped from her father's, claiming her father forces her and her siblings to beg on the streets earlier on Friday, March 8, 2019, was found to have fled deliberately with her male friend.

The MoI said in a tweet on its Twitter official account that the missing girl got out of her father's vehicle and fled with a friend to an unknown destination.

The tweet also read that both of them have been referred to the competent authorities and the necessary legal measures will be taken against them.

Accordingly, a research team was formed to uncover the truth behind the incident, intensify the investigation and gather more information, according to a statement by the MoI.

However, the girl's father has earlier submitted a report to the security center of Fintas area stating that his 16-year-old daughter had been kidnapped after he stopped his car to perform Friday prayers at a nearby mosque in the Mahboula area of Kuwait, which called on the security services to begin an investigation.
