Ministry of Water Secretary General Eng. Ali Sobh said that Jordan has made great progress in enabling the water sector to meet the rapidly changing needs and in sanitation networks, as well as rehabilitating and improving groundwater management, in addition to regulating the work of the sector especially in the efficient use of energy and the use of renewable energy to meet the high 40% costs of managing water.
This came during the Fifth Arab Water Week 2019 Conference, under the title "Towards Sustainable Development in the Water and Sanitation", which was held under the patronage of HRH Prince Al Hassan Bin Talal.
Eng. Khaldoun Al-Khamshan, Secretary General of the Arab Association for Water Utilities, said that the conference has become a forum for experts, decision-makers and the private sector working in the water and sanitation sector, pointing out that 19 international organizations and bodies will participate in this conference to discuss and propose new ideas and solutions.
