In the presence of HRH Prince Ali and HRH Princess Rym Al-Ali, the First Lady of Panama Lorena Castillo García on Monday officially inaugurated the Panamanian Embassy in Amman.

The First Lady and Panama’s Ambassador to Jordan Tomás Guardia raised the Panamanian flag at the Embassy in Abdoun area.

In a speech during the inauguration ceremony, the ambassador noted that President of Panama Juan Carlos Varela reaffirmed Panama’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties with Jordan.

He added that inaugurating the embassy in the presence of the first lady and the Regent reflects the level of distinguished “friendship” between the two countries, and their keenness to developing them.

The Panamanian ambassador praised the Kingdom’s humanitarian role in hosting millions of refugees from neighboring countries and providing services and shelter.
