According to the Income and Sales Tax Department, around 480 thousand heads of households have applied for bread subsidies until Monday.

The Department added in a statement that members who work for the private or the public sector can apply for the bread subsidies, for the duration of 90 days through the website www.da3mak.jo.

According to the Assistant Director-General of the Department, Moussa Tarawneh the subsidies will be disbursed by the end of March.

Members of the armed forces, security services, retired civilians and military personnel, social security pensioners, their heirs, and beneficiaries of the National Aid Fund are excluded from the subsidies.

The subsidy will go to those registered with National Aid Fund at JOD 33 per capita, while other beneficiaries will receive JOD 27.
