Launch of third German-Arab Environment and Energy Forum

The third German-Arab Environment and Energy Forum opened on Sunday at the Amman Chamber of Commerce under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal, in the presence of former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr. Sigmar Gabriel, and Senator Talal Abu-Ghazaleh.

The conference will shed light on sustainable development and the achievement of the development goals, namely environment and energy.

One of the objectives of the conference is to prepare adequately for the current issues and challenges in the face of global and environmental changes as well as the changing nature of life on earth by committing to sustainable development and developing the economy in a way that contributes to the care of our environment and our society so that renewable energy will be the engine that will enable Jordan to move smoothly to a sustainable and environment-friendly economy.

The forum brings together businessmen, entrepreneurs in order to create a close connection to the business environment between the two countries.

According to the participants, the development related to the issues of environment and energy has many common benefits, especially as the future will be on the side of the countries that will be able to achieve more prosperity in cleaner and more technologically effective ways, as harnessing the solutions available today is what will lead Jordan towards sustainable long-term growth.
