The Directorate of Tourism of Ajloun Governorate began to develop and rehabilitate the area of Tell Mar Elias at a cost of 400 thousand dinars.

Director of Tourism Mohamed Deek told Petra news agency that the development of the site includes the construction of kiosks to display local popular products, as well as the development of archaeological sites and the provision of services and facilities to prolong the length of tourist stay and provide parking for buses.

He added that the Directorate is currently implementing a number of projects, including the development of health units located in Ajloun Castle and the construction of new units at a cost of 73 thousand dinars, in addition to the installation of 120 map guidance boards for tourist and archaeological sites in the province worth 60 thousand dinars which will be drawn from the budget of the provincial council.

He pointed out that the work was started on the implementation of the Alsos tourist project which is worth 350 thousand dinars.
